Information for presenters

Are you a presenter? Here you will get an overview of what we expect from you and what you can expect from us.

Format of your breakout session

In general we have two kinds of sessions and ask all presenters to keep this in mind:

  1. Presentation with Q&A: the majority of time goes to presenting your session and make sure to provide time for questions to be asked by the public
  2. Round Table: discussion where the facilitator addresses a topic and leads a conversation between participants

For all the rest, we will leave the approach of the session up to you. Nevertheless, in our opinion, engaging participants in a session is always a good idea.

Delivering presentations

In the entrance hall of the venue, there will be a desk where you can deliver your presentation on a memory stick. We will make sure your presentation will be available in the room on a laptop where you will be speaking. It is always wise to bring your presentation yourself on stick and/or own laptop with presentation also to the room where you will be speaking.

Equipment available

We will provide a meeting room with a projector/beamer, screen and a laptop with your presentation on it.  Free Wifi is available by using ‘Limburg-Open'. Most devices automatically display a screen to fill out. You can trigger this manually by launching a browser and opening a website. Enter your name, e-mail address and mobile phone number; tick the box 'Ik ga akkoord met de gebruiksvoorwaarden’ ('I agree to the terms of use') and click 'Registreer' ('Register').  Enter your e-mail address and the code you received by SMS, tick the 'Ik ga akkoord met de gebruiksvoorwaarden' ('I agree to the terms of use') and click 'Aanmelden' ('Sign in'). You are now connected to 'Limburg-Open' for 24 hours.

A microphone will not be present but also not necessary. We will limit presentations to 25 participants and round tables to 12 participants.

In case you also want to play sound (music, video) during your presentation, please contact us to see if that is available in your room or if we need to provide a solution.

General advise: the more you use highly technical features, the more likely it is to go wrong. So keep it simple.

We support you

In each room, one of our staff will support you. She/he will:
- help you technically prepare everything
- introduce you
- be your timekeeper
- enjoy the beautiful story you will bring
